Why Use Pantry Inventory?

Keeping track of what’s in your pantry can feel overwhelming—it’s easy to buy too much or miss out on essentials. Pantry Inventory is designed to simplify this process, helping you manage your food stock efficiently and effectively.

How It Works

Step 1: Build Your Inventory

Start by creating your pantry list:

  • Open the app and select the ‘+’ icon.
  • Enter the name of the item.
  • Set the minimum and maximum quantities you’d like to keep in stock.
  • Record your current quantity.
  • Optionally add shops (e.g., supermarkets you frequent) and relevant tags (e.g., “dry”, “bulk”, “middle shelf”).

Quick Tip: Prioritize frequently-used items like rice, pasta, or canned goods for immediate benefits.

Step 2: Shopping with Stock Guidance

When you’re in the store:

  • Open the “Stock Guidance” tab to view a clearly categorized shopping list.
  • Items are sorted automatically:
    • None in Stock: Urgent items that are completely out.
    • Below Minimum: Items that need replenishing to reach your ideal minimum.
    • For Topping Up: Optional items to maintain optimal stock.
  • Mark items off as you shop; the app adjusts quantities instantly.

Step 3: Maintaining Accuracy with Pantry Audit

If your app data and actual pantry stock become mismatched:

  • Use “Pantry Audit” to quickly realign your inventory.
  • Adjust counts easily with ‘+’ or ‘–’ as you physically check your shelves.
  • Filter by tags, such as specific shelf locations, to make your audit manageable.
  • Move through items swiftly using “Previous” and “Next.”

Step 4: Managing Shop Availability

Customize your shopping lists by store availability:

  • Tag items with shops where they’re available.
  • Set item availability quickly, marking each as “Available” or “Not Available.”
  • Use “Add to All” or “Remove from All” to batch-update stores, making future shopping smoother.

Using Pantry Inventory brings noticeable everyday improvements:
